I’m really glad you’re here.

Photography has been part of my life for a lot longer than Soft Aloe ever had a name. I grew up watching my grandmother and cousin photograph the people and moments around them, and somewhere along the way, I fell completely in love with the idea of freezing a little piece of life in a frame. That love eventually led me to study film at Eastern Michigan University, where I learned to see and develop light, composition, and storytelling in a whole new way.

These days, you’ll usually find me with a camera in one hand and a coffee somewhere nearby. I’m a farm-raised girl who somehow ended up spending my free time chasing live music, reading books, collecting tattoos, and planning my next adventure. I’m also a boy mom and animal-obsessed enough to share my home with two dogs, a cat, and a turtle — so yes, I will absolutely want to see pictures of your pets.

So if you’re looking for someone who will probably tell you to dance in the middle of a field, remind you to bring snacks, get way too excited about good light, and genuinely care about the story you’re trusting me to photograph — I think we’ll get along just fine.
